I'm a well-educated, well-travelled man of mature years and have frequented dozens of quality hotels and restaurants around the world. But I have never experienced such a memorable combination of friendly and relaxed service, convenient and thoughtful facilities, breath-taking views from such a clean comfortable room and quality food served with humour, passion and aplomb. From the moment we arrived and were shown around (love the separate chill-out rooms and the honesty bar) to the sad moment we left ... we were treated like royalty. Toni even offered us an I-pad for the duration so that we could order dinner, make queries or even watch films (broadcast on to our room's TV) With Guadalest closing down after 7/8pm (once the last tourist coach leaves), it would be easy to serve up any old meal for dinner - as there is nowhere else for us to go. However, Toni & Sofia serve the freshest most delicious fare you could hope for. Imaginative courses, local ingredients, exquisite tastes and the finest of wines. My other half, Nicola, had a birthday while we there. Without a hint, prompt or invitation, Toni conjured up a birthday cake with appropriate message written on the plate in chocolate! Even the cheese on the cheese board was locally-sourced. When we enquired to its origin, we were given addresses and directions to the supplier and a phone call was made telling them to expect us that day - amazing! Breakfast was an absolute feast set within the most beautiful of terraces, with views down the valley and beyond to the sea. Any amount of pictures simply can't do this justice to this charming terrace. The meal consisted of fresh fruits, a tasty smoothie, pastries, scrambled egg, salmon and more. WHAT a start to your day. Cases Noves takes homely boutique a la carte breaks to another level. Toni, you and Sofia have something very VERY special there - please don't change a thing! I wish you every success in the future but in a rather selfish way, I hope you always have a room available for us when we plan our next visit!
